DYEING FABRIC POLICY
We use Neelam color chart and the ordered fabric/s will be dyed in the same color which our customer wants after we will confirm and match the color & number which he/she will give.
If any of our customer/s does not opt Neelam Color Chart then it will be THE BEST if he/she send us a fabric swatch or color sample for better matching and duplication.
Disclaimer: These color charts are a reference guides ONLY and are not to be used for final color matching. The colors may vary based on resolution of your computer screen, your particular color printer output and other factors that cannot be controlled.
ZS Fabrics is not responsible or liable for color matches made with online color charts, photos or fabric swatches which were sent to us. Please note that there would be significant variation across the different fabrics in terms of absorption of the dye. Some fabrics just don't absorb dye as well as others because the affinity of a dye for a fabric depends on the chemical structure of the fabric.
We don't have any guarantee after dyeing or any use of the fabric or yarn. We are not responsible after dyeing, bleaching, printing or any other kind of processing of goods.

Do you offer dyed/colored swatches?
You can get swatches of fabric/s from us only in white color because the basic reason of swatches is to feel the swatches.
Cost of natural dyeing service is $8 per meter
Can you tell me how much fabric will shrink?
No, we do our best possible to minimize shrinkage, however, shrinkage varies, depending on the manufacturer. Some fabrics may shrink as much as 10-15%. The average amount of shrinkage is 3-6%. Natural fabrics such as Cotton, Linen, Silk, Rayon, Organics and wool are likely to shrink both in width and in length.
Organic Banana Fabric - shrinks approximately 5-8% in length after dyeing.
Organic Aloe Vera Fabric - shrinks approximately 4-6% in length after dyeing.
Organic Bamboo Fabric shrinks approximately 5-8% in length after dyeing.
Organic Corn Fabric shrinks approximately 3-5% in length after dyeing.
Organic Eucalyptus shrinks approximately 4-6% in length after dyeing.
Organic Lotus Fabric shrinks approximately 1-2% in length after dyeing.
Organic Milk Fabric shrinks approximately 1-2% in length after dyeing.
Organic Orange fabric shrinks approximately 10-15% in width after dyeing
Therefore, we cannot be responsible for shrinkage!!!
We highly recommend purchasing extra yardage to allow for this shrinkage. Please adjust yardage accordingly.
Tip: It is important to test the fabrics before sewing. Please be sure to wash and dry the fabric when shrinkage is an issue. A mild soap and cold water is recommended. Never use hot water on custom dyed fabrics and spandex (Lycra) fabrics.
How long does the dyeing process takes?
5-7 days, in some cases longer. Dyeing a fabric to an exact shade sometimes requires multiple color adjustments, therefore, we cannot give an exact turn around time.
Custom dyeing - due to the process, quality dyeing and time frame limits, custom dyeing (i.e. getting the ordered fabric in any color) comes with an MOQ of 5 meters per color wanted.
Unfortunately, our dyeing workshop has changed its rules (during Covid-19 outbreak) and does not accept orders for dyeing fabrics less than 10 meters in total (i.e. no less than 5 meters of one color plus no less than 5 meters of a different color/or the same color whatever you require. (MOQ of 10 meters will be taken care of by that).
Larger dye jobs may require a deposit. Let Us Give You A Quote on your project.

NATURAL DYEING SERVICE (LOCATION: INDIA)
We use only Natural Dyes! What are natural dyes? Natural dyes are dyes made from naturally-occurring materials – from plants, minerals. Dyes are soluble and they change the color of the material they come into contact with. There are chemicals in nature that produce colors. In plants, those chemicals might be in the leaves (e.g. weld: yellow-orange); roots (madder: red-deep pink); bark (soaked birch bark: pink-brown); flowers (marigold: yellow-orange; dyer’s chamomile: yellow-gold and etc.
Natural dyes need to be used with mordants (from the Latin mordere – to bite). They are substances that allow the plant dyes to ‘bite’ onto the fabric, making it set, and stopping it from washing out. Examples of mordants are aluminium sulfate (alum), tannic acid (from oak bark and leaves) and oxalic acid (from rhubarb leaves). Many people turn to natural dyes because they are safe and non-toxic, and mordants that are used for natural dyeing are common household materials and not seriously toxic metal. To make the colors bright and fast, natural mordants such as myrobalan, rhubarb leaves, oils, minerals, alum, iron vat etc. are used. We do not use heavy metal mordants like copper, chrome, zinc, tin etc.
Our dyer uses only natural dyes and natural dyes are as unpredictable as nature itself, so if you are looking for a deep saturation and dark colors with little to no imperfections and easy wash and go we recommend choosing a Low Impact dye color over our natural dyes.
We do a completely chemical free dyeing/very Eco-friendly (without any toxic things) (no harmful thing and no smell) and you can get your desired/ordered fabric in whatever color which you want.
The best ones to use are those made from natural materials themselves. Cotton, silk, wool and linen will take the dye the best.
Bleaching
Fabrics are exposed to direct sunlight.
