Suggested Care
Silk fabrics can be hand washed. Technically, silk does not shrink like other fibers. Always dry-wash your silks or wash them with a good gentle soap in cold water.
Give a final rinse in lime juice solution for sheen and stiffness.
Dry your silks in the shade. Drying white silks in the sun turns them yellow. Keep your silk clothes in cool places, where strong light cannot fade the colour.
Iron silks when damp.
Lycra; Hand or machine wash in lukewarm water. Never use chlorine bleach on any fabric containing Lycra. Either drip dry or machine dry using low temperature settings.
How to use
Lycra (aka Spandex) is a synthetic fabric known for its ability to stretch and while maintaining its shape. Silk stretch fabric has all the softness and bright luster of silk fabric, but with spandex added for superior stretch and comfortable movement. Usually it contains 90% ~ 95% silk with 5% ~ 10% spandex portions.
Warning: this fabric should only be worn by those with the utmost body confidance, as it hides nothing.
